Course description

Explore the underpinning knowledge for the animal sector based in our on-site specialist animal units housing mammals, reptiles and birds based at our Auction Mart Campus in Skipton.

Expand your horizons and choose the Animal Management Level 3 Foundation Diploma. Learn how to look after different species of animals, care for their health and ensure they have the correct nutrition to industry standard level. Many of our students have gone on to successful careers as welfare assistants, dog trainers, groomers, pet shop assistants, veterinary nurses and more!
 
You will benefit from state of the art facilities, indoor and outdoor purpose built units with a range of different species of animals, a dog grooming room and access to off-site resources. As well as practical handling of the animals on site you will be able to choose from a wider range of units such as animal biology, health, training, feeding, microbiology, biochemistry, farm livestock and more!
 
Our tutors are experts in their field and have worked in industry as well as growing their own companies to provide animal care and animal related products for the sector.
