Animal Studies Level 2 at Craven College

Course description

Learn about animals and their care in our on-site specialist animal units, with everything from chinchillas to snakes, goats to chickens and many, many more.

 
Enjoy this largely practical introduction to this sector and take your first steps to securing your dream role in animal care. Highlights include visits to zoos and animal centres; there will also be opportunity for work experience which is intended to develop existing knowledge in preparation for further study or employment.
 
You will benefit from state of the art facilities, indoor and outdoor purpose built animal units with a range of different species of animals, a dog grooming room and access to off-site resources. As well as practical handling of the animals on site you will be able to choose from units such as animal biology, health, training, feeding and many other aspects of the industry.
 
Our tutors are experts in their field and have worked in industry as well as growing their own companies to provide animal care and animal related products for the sector.

4 GCSEs 9-3 (A*-D) or Level 1 Diploma
English & Maths GCSEs 9-2 (A*- E)
