Hospitality Customer Service Intermediate Level Apprenticeship (Level 2) at Cambridge Regional College

Course description

The Hospitality Customer Service Intermediate Level Apprenticeship is designed for those working in the hospitality industry, providing customer service. The course will be tailored to your job role and achieved in the workplace to give hands-on experience. It covers a variety of customer service characteristics such as impression, image and handling problems.

The course takes 16 months to complete and has a flexible start date. Fully funded for 16-18 year olds; partial funding for apprentices aged 19+ (fees apply). There is upper age limit.

The APPRENTICESHIP FRAMEWORK: the framework is made up of the following components. In order to be successful, you must complete and achieve all elements.

PRACTICAL ELEMENT
City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service.

The mandatory elements of this qualification are:
• Communicate using customer service language
• Follow the rules to deliver customer service.

TECHNICAL ELEMENT
City and Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Maths Level 1
English Level 1.

EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be in a job role that supports the completion of the framework.

Assessment

You will be assessed in the workplace using a variety of methods including observation, questioning, professional discussions, witness testimonials and candidate work products and statements.

We are committed to providing financial support to learners where it is available. We would actively encourage you to enquire about possible financial support as soon as you can. Future opportunities

On completion of this course you may be able to progress onto an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership.

Once we have received your application, you will be invited to attend a college Welcome Event, which gives you and your parents/carers the opportunity to have a look around the College, talk to the tutors and ask any questions you may have.
