2D and 3D AnimationYou will plan and produce a 2D animation with soundtrack and then understand how to evaluate audience responses. Using industry-standard software, such as Maya and 3D Studio Max, you will plan and create 3D animations.
Computer Game Story DevelopmentYou will learn how to create dramatic tension and intricate storylines, generating a compelling and dramatic play experience.
Computer Games DevelopmentFocus is on understanding the different types of computer games, planning and designing your own game, and developing and testing a game before creating documentation.
- Five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths, or
- a BTEC Extended Certificate at Merit grade, as well as GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, or
- relevant work experience.
The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Games Development can be used to gain employment in the vast field of media, digital creativity, and communications. You can also apply to study a Higher National Diploma or degree programme.
