UAL Interactive Media Production Diploma Level 2 at Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMET)

Course description

Have you got an interest in creating films? Do you want to express your creativity through TV, film or website design? Whether you want to create new social media, interactive design, feature films, radio shows or advertising then this is the course for you. If you are the kind of person who looks at the world in a different, more creative way than everybody else, then media is the route that you should take. This course covers many aspects of the professional media industry under the banner of our own media company, TX Media (Transmission Media). You will study film techniques, camera operating, video editing, Photoshop skills, and interactive media and websites. You will get to plan ideas for The Academy radio station, Transmission Radio, and broadcast live all over the world! You will film and broadcast live events such as fashion shows, music performances and even create your own music videos.The course offers live practical projects with local employers in and around Birmingham and is delivered by a team of staff with a high level of industry related expertise and experience. You will have access to professional quality resources including equipment, studios, computers and software. The course is awarded by the prestigious UAL (University of the Arts London) and is exclusive to the Academy and BMET in the Midlands.

Entry requirements

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade D or above.

This programme of study is 100% coursework.

Future opportunities

After completing the Level 2 Diploma you will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Diploma to continue your skills development.
