Painting and Decorating - Level 1 at College of West Anglia
This course is designed for students entering and wishing to progress in the construction industry and would like to become a painter or decorator. Students are usually required to attend college for three days per week. The level 1 course offers introductory skills in a range of construction trades which include: Bricklaying Carpentry & Joinery Plumbing Painting & Decorating Plastering In the summer term you will then specialise in your selected construction trade and develop skills and knowledge which will enable you to progress in this specialist trade.
3 GCSEs at grade E or above or entry qualifications at entry level 3. You will be required to successfully pass an interview showing enthusiasm and commitment towards this course. Individual cases outside of this criteria will be considered on their own merits
Progress and achievement is recorded throughout the year via practical assessments.
If you are under 19 on 31st August in the year you begin your programme, you will not have to pay a course fee; however, all full-time courses have a resource fee attached and there may also be additional fees for materials, kits and trips.
Fees for students aged 19+ vary according to programme, age and circumstances.
