Accounts Advanced Apprenticeship AAT Level 3 Diploma at Halesowen College

Course description

This programme is suitable for you if you have completed an Accounts Apprenticeship and wish to progress to the next level. You may also start on this programme if you have previously achieved a pass in A Level Accounts at grade C or above and wish to work in an accounting environment. This could be either an accountancy practice or in the finance department of any type of organisation.

Entry requirements

You are usually expected to have previously completed the Accounts Apprenticeship Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.

5 GCSEs at grade C including Math and English Language and an A Level in Accounts at grade C or above may also be sufficient.

Assessment

You will be visited at least once a month by an assessor in your workplace and they will also carry out regular reviews with your employer.

During the observations, you will be assessed by a variety of methods including professional discussions, written statements from you, which should include print screens, questioning and a witness testimony from your employer or line manager to confirm your competency in the workplace.

Further information

Apprentices are required to complete monthly timesheets, which are handed into College staff. You will also need to submit an up to date CV, to include your apprenticeship details and job description. You will also need an organisation chart.
