Computing and IT Level 2 OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

The OCR Cambridge Technical Diploma in IT is a one year qualification at Level 2 aimed at those learners who do not meet the entry requirements for a Level 3 Computing & IT course. It provides a good underpinning knowledge for progression to Level 3,employment or apprenticeship.

Course content

You study seven units across the year that cover a range of ICT: Communicating in the IT industry, Working in the IT industry, IT Support, Website Development, Computer Systems, Database systems and Multimedia design.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D or their equivalent

Assessment

Various assignments and portfolio based assessment which are graded Distinction, Merit or Pass.
