Completing this course will give you an Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production (games Development).

  • 3D modelling and programming
  • 2D programming
  • digital graphics
  • drawing concept art for computer games
  • computer game platforms and technology
  • story development for computer games
  • maths and English

Assessment

  • two GCSEs at grade C or above, in addition to maths at grade four or above and English at grade four or above, or
  • four GCSEs at grade C or above, including maths and English, or
  • Creative Digital Media Production (Games) Level 2 Extended Certicate, maths at grade four or above and English at grade four or above, or equivalent
  • you will be asked to provide evidence of your ability in the subject which could be in the form of a portfolio
  • successful attendance at interview event and satisfactory references

    • September 2014 sees the grand unveiling of a new £45 million Thurrock Campus in Grays which will include restaurants, health facilities, shops and an advice centre. There will also be specialist workshop and studio spaces linked to courses for technology, media and creative arts, and facilities for art, design, logistics, engineering and IT courses.
