Course description

This is a well respected general science qualification seen as a more practical and work related route. If you have a passion for science but are not sure what area you want to work in then this course will prepare you for a wide range of careers. You will cover subjects like statistics, maths for scientists, the human body system, biochemistry, energy changes and electrical circuits and their industrial applications.

Entry requirements

You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above including Science, maths or English. If you have completed a level 2 diploma you will need at least a merit grade.

Assessment

The course is assessed through practical work and assignments.

Future opportunities

After the course you may decide to continue your studies at university or seek employment with a medical research company working as a laboratory technician.
