Course description

Elite Training Systems Yorkshire (ETSY) is a training provider that offers a range of vocational courses such as  Motor & Construction as well as delivering PSD nad Functional Skills Maths and English.

We have an excellent track record of results and our learners have progressed on to futher education, apprenticeships or employment.

Our centre at Wakefield is situated on Silcoates Street which is 15 mins walk from Wakefield bus station.  Alternatively you can get the 115 bus from Stand 6 at Wakefield Bus station which stops directly outside the centre.

Course content

Engagement and Enrolment:

Mini project designing  ideas for a car servicing business,mini workshop tasks, team building and self assessment

IMI Level 1 Award in Vehicle Maintenance 501/0550/4


IMI Level 1 Certificate in Vehicle Maintence 501/0547/4

Functional Skills E1-L1 Maths and English

Workskills units:PSD, Searhing for jobs , Applying for jobs, preparing for Interviews and Career progression

Course days monday Wednesday Friday

Course times 9am - 3pm

Entry requirements

Achieved less than 5GSE A*C including Maths and English

* Dependant on circumstances allowances can be made if they have  achieve 5 GCSE A* -C

Aged between 16-18


On enrolment they will complete an initial assessment in Maths and English to assess the level they are working at.

At the end of the course they will complete another assessemnt to measure their improvement achievements over the course programme

Financial information

Dependant on home circumstances you can apply for a bursary.Learners need to have their own bank account to apply for bursary

They can complete a form to get a half fare bus pass.

Free Meals are available for those that qualify. Money will be paid into learner's bank account on a weekly basis.


Future opportunities

On successfully completing this programme they have options to:

 Continue further study at college or another education establishment progressing on to another l1 Motor course 

Progress  on to an apprenticeship

Progress on to employment with training.
