Higher Apprenticeship in Management at Trafford College

Course description

This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. It will attract new talent into management and will help to up-skill the workforce to replace those who leave or retire. Higher apprentices will work in job roles such as managers, senior managers, directors and heads of department.The Higher Apprenticeship in Management consists of:-* ILM Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Management* ILM Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management* Employment Rights and Responsibilities* Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Entry requirements

Candidates must be employed in a Management job role.Possess a Level 3 Management qualification or have relevant vocational experience. Initial assessments will be used to determine Maths and English skills where appropriate to determine suitability.

Assessment

The qualification is assessed though continuous assessment on the OneFile electronic portfolio using a variety of work-based evidence and assignments. Candidates will produce an electronic portfolio that will be internally and externally verified.

Future opportunities

Higher Apprentices, with support and opportunities in the workplace, can progress onto the Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Management & Leadership, further or higher education to undertake business related or other qualifications including Foundation Degrees in areas such as management and leadership, business, business management, business administration or access a range of business and management undergraduate programmes leading to professional qualifications at Level 5 or above.
