English Literature at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar Alford - A Selective Academy
- You enjoy reading and studying a wide range of prose, poetry and drama texts from all periods of history.
- You will be required to read at least 11 texts over the two-year course!
- You are interested in the challenge presented by the close study of ideas and styles.
- You will be a creative and original thinker who enjoys discussion and getting to grips with philosophical ideas.
To enter the Sixth Form, pupils should normally have achieved a minimum of 8 GCSE passes including English and Mathematics at grade C or above. For A level study, students should usually have a grade A or above (and at least a B) in the subjects they wish to study.
