Children & Young People's Workforce Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 at New College Stamford

Course description

Work in a childcare setting with babies, toddlers or pre-school children, as well as gaining food hygiene and paediatric emergency first aid qualifications and the opportunity to gain real life experience alongside an employer.You may also need to study English and maths GCSEs, or Functional Skills ICT Level 2, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) units to successfully complete your training.

Entry requirements

GCSE English and maths at grades C or above. Your previous skills and experience will also be considered upon application.


Some attendance at college may be required and an Assessor will also visit you in the workplace to carry out practical assessments and monitor your progress.assessments and monitor your progress.

16 – 18 years – Course 100% funded19 – 23 years – No contribution is required at this moment in time.(employers may wish to help towards the costs)24+ years – Not funded. Course costs payable by employer/individual but loans may be available through the 24+ Advanced Learning Loan scheme.
