A Level Food, Nutrition and Health at The Frances Bardsley Academy for Girls

Course description

LET’S GET COOKING and develop practical skills that will last a life time and gain you an AS and/ or A2 qualification. This is an exciting new course on offer which encompasses a variety of subjects such as Sociology, Economics, Geography, Social History and Practical Cooking.

Topics can include: diets for high performance sports, obesity, eating disorders, consumer psychology in food retail, osteoporosis, international and cultural foods and the impact of recession and poverty on society.
