Geography A Level at Tudor Grange Academy
The course consists of four modules that challenge different areas of expertise:
Unit 1: Physical and Human Geography (2hr 30min exam 40%)
Unit 2: Geographical Skills (2hr 30 min exam 40%)
Unit 3: Geogrpahy fieldwork investigation (written report 20% of A Level)
- GEOG 1 - 120 minutes, 30% of A level
- GEOG 2 - 120 minutes, 30% of A level
- GEOG 3 - 105 minutes, 20% OF A level
- GEOG 4 - 3000-4000 words report 20% of A level
Geography is widely regarded due to its fluid, problem-solving nature. Geography would be particularly relevant for students considering a future in architecture, town planning, finance, accountancy, teaching, civil service, social sciences and economics. In particular, an A level in geography will be a signal to universities and employers of your ability to plan, discuss and evaluate decisions from a multitude of angles.
