Course description

Foundation Learning is a new way to provide personalised learning programmes for young people and adults working at Entry level and level 1. It helps these learners develop their potential and prepares them to progress towards level 2 and other routes. Foundation Learning is delivered in personalised Foundation Learning programmes. A Foundation Learning programme should include: subject or vocational knowledge, skills and understanding, functional skills, personal and social development learning. The Foundation Learning qualifications are aimed at all students over the age of 14 working below Level 2. The programme can include: • EDEXCEL BTEC Award in Health & Social Care (Entry 3) • C&G Certificate in Health & Social Care (Level 1) • EDEXCEL BTEC Diploma in Health & Social Care (Level 1) • C&G Award in Employability and Personal Development (E3/L1) • C&G Award in Personal and Social Development • Functional Skills English • Functional Skills Mathematics • Functional Skills ICT
