A2: three taught units of study 1. Weather, Climate and Associated Hazards 2. World Cities 3. Development and Globalisation – with one of these areas extended with Fieldwork Investigation. Assessment

AS: Unit 1: 2hr written examination (70% of AS) Physical and Human Geography : structured short and extended questions

AS Unit 2: 1hr written examination (30% of AS) Geographical Skills : structured skills and generic fieldwork questions

A2:Unit 3: 2hr 30min written examination (30% of A-level) Contemporary Geographical Issues : as Unit 1, plus an essay

A2 Unit 4: 1hr 30min written examination (20% of A-level) Fieldwork Investigation : as Unit 1, based on fieldwork investigation and skills

Entry requirements

Seven grade Cs or above at GCSE level including English and Mathematics. Bs are required for the Sciences, English, Humanities and Languages
