AS/A2 Level Photography (AQA) at Burton and South Derbyshire College
The course allows the student the opportunity to study all aspects of creative photography with plenty of hands-on practical experience. Photography A Level can be taken over a 2 year period. The AS Level may be completed in 1 year, or acts as a halfway point leading onto completion of the full A Level (A2). The students will be involved in the production of photographic images, complemented by the study of historical and contemporary photographic practice. Visual research and written work is submitted as part of the cours ework requirements. The aims of the course are to develop the student’s knowledge and understanding of the photographic process and how photography can be used in a variety of roles within society. The course also aims to train students in the use of many specialist skills, which are associated with good photographic practice.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, with preferably a grade C in Art & Design or Design Technology. These requirements may be waived if you are a mature student or if you prove to have exceptional circumstances.
Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. University, employment in the Creative Industries / Marketing, Teaching.
