ICT - Level 3 at Drayton Manor High School

Course description

This course is designed to allow students to develop understanding of how ICT can assist in the processing of data in organisations and situations. It aims to develop skills of problem-solving, analysis, abilities to make critical judgements, awareness of ICT’s role in management, manipulation and dissemination of information, understanding of ICT capabilities and limitations, roles of people, technology and systems in organisations, interpersonal skills and an awareness of the economic, social and ethical implications of the use of ICT systems.

Future opportunities

You could take this course with other advanced level courses or equivalent to prepare for higher education in ICT or related subjects such as Buisness Studies, Economics, Maths or more general courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to the IT industry or business world. The course will also help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for.
