Plumbing Level 3 Diploma at Highbury College

Course description

The Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Plumbing is designed as a natural progression for anyone holding a Level 2 Certificate in Plumbing or a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Plumbing.

You will learn in classroom sessions which will helpyou to underpin your knowledge of the subject, backed up with sessions in our well equipped workshop.

Course content

There are 6 units to this course they are:

  • Understand how to organise resources within BSE
  • Understand and apply domestic cold water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques. 
  • Understand and apply domestic centra heating system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques.
  • Understand and carry out electrical work on domestic plumbing and heating systems and components.
  • Understand and apply domestic sanitation system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques.

Entry requirements

You will be required to have achieved the Level 2 Diploma in plumbing Foundation and/or Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating

Assessment

 Following the completion of each unit you will take an on-line examination

Future opportunities

Upon completion of this course, candidates can progress onto NVQ Level.
