Manufacturing and Engineering Advanced Apprentice at Siemens PLC

Course description

Our apprentices will spend an initial 12 months at College undertaking various courses of study. For the next two years, they’ll spend time on our shop floor, rotating through our different manufacturing cells. Their final year, will either be spent on the shop floor, in the cell where they will move after finishing their apprenticeship, or in another department where the individual is interested in moving, and which will have a suitable vacancy post-apprenticeship. 


If you’re looking to develop a career in Manufacturing and Engineering at Ulverston, you will gain experience in mechanical and electrical assembly and testing of connector systems along with research and development, design and quality control areas of our business. Entry requirements

For an advanced apprenticeship you should have, or be expecting a minimum of four GCSEs or equivalent at grade C or above including:

 Maths • English • Science

Other relevant higher level qualifications such as A levels, NVQs and Diplomas are required for a higher apprenticeship.
