Information Technology BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate at Coloma Convent Girls' School

Course description

This qualification is designed for learners who are interested in an introduction to the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information, alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in IT.

Entry requirements

This curriculum choice requires: 6 GCSEs including Maths at Grade 4 or above, English Language at Grade 4 or above, and a further 4 or more subjects at Grade C or above (or Grade 4 or above). This pathway will usually involve two A levels and a BTEC course. Candidates must meet the subject specific requirements in order to study their chosen subjects. Candidates with a Grade 4 in Maths or English Language will be expected to continue their studies in these subjects with the aim of retaking and achieving a minimum of Grade 5.
