This qualification is intended for those who wish to explore their interest in the hair and beauty sector. It will help you gain insight about the industry as well as learn useful basic skills and relevant background knowledge.

Assessment

  • demonstrate the ability to work at level one in maths and English in an assessment, or
  • Hair and Beauty Sector Entry Level 3 Certicate or equivalent and maths and English at level one
  • successful attendance at interview event and satisfactory references
  • you will be required to purchase salon wear, equipment kit, textbooks, stationery and consumables

    • September 2014 sees the grand unveiling of a new £45 million Thurrock Campus in Grays which will include restaurants, health facilities, shops and an advice centre. There will also be specialist workshop and studio spaces linked to courses for technology, media and creative arts, and facilities for art, design, logistics, engineering and IT courses.

      There will also be key areas available for public and community use. Hair and beauty salons, a restaurant and coffee shop will also be open to the public and are destined to breathe new life back into Grays.
