Diploma in Hair & Beauty Level 2 at Trafford College

Course description

This is a full time qualification that prepares you for employment.Within the programme you will cover units:- Health and safety- Client care and communication - Client consultation - Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp- Cut women's hair- Colour and lighten hair- The art of dressing hair- Facials- Waxing- Manicure- Nail art- Eyelash and eye brow treatments.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE's at grade D including maths and English


Assessment is continuous by observation of practical skills, oral questioning,assignments and on-line tests.

Financial information

A kit will be needed to participate in the course, the college will provide the order forms for this, please enquire about the cost. The Altirincham campus is fully equipped with professional hair salons make-up studio, specialist teaching staff from the industry.

Future opportunities

Apprenticeship, Hairdressing Level 3, Beauty Therapy Level 3 and Media Make-up Level 3.
