Hospitality & Catering Diplomas at Levels 2 & 3

The hospitality and catering industry employs over 2 million people and is constantly changing, providing food and drink services in a whole range of settings from hotels to pubs, restaurants, conference services and other outlets. By gaining a Diploma you can set yourself aside from the rest, enhance your employability, career prospects and skills.

Course Content

There are a range of Diplomas available depending upon the area of hospitality and catering within which you work. You can choose from the following depending on your job role:

  • Housekeeping
  • Drink Service
  • Food & Drink Service
  • Food Production and Cooking
  • Professional Cookery
  • Hospitality Supervision
  • Front Office
What level is right for me?

At level 2 you have a choice of: front office; food and drink service; drink service; professional cookery and food production and cooking. Level 3 Diplomas have been designed to reflect the work of staff in the hospitality industry who have immediate responsibility for the work of others.

An Apprenticeship in Hospitality will enable you to gain a wealth of experience on the job whilst learning and working towards nationally accredited qualifications. You will learn all aspects of catering and develop practical skills which will enhance your career.

Course content

Apprentices will work in hotels, restaurants, staff canteens and fast food outlets serving customers

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a good general level of education and ideally some work experience in this type of role. This would suit someone with a friendly personality, flexible, can meet deadlines, work under pressure and enjoy working as part of a team.

Assessment

Apprenticeship in Food Processing and Cooking.
Trainees will do Key Skills and several short series of tests.
You may be exempt from either part of the Key Skills depending upon GCSE results

Further information

Pay details, minimum of £95 per week for 40 hour week, which may include shifts and weekend work.

      CWT Chamber Training has a range of up to date, modern training facilities, where technology is widely used to ensure our courses are fun, informative and highly valued by employers.

      All rooms are resourced with up-to-date equipment i.e. smart boards, internet access and comprehensive information, advice and guidance materials are available with qualified staff on hand to support your decision making.

      In the main we will visit you at your employer’s premises and our qualified experienced Training Advisors will work with you on a one-to-one basis.
