Nextgen Computing Level 3 at Hull College Group

Course description

This challenging Level 3 course is equivalent to three A-Level grades A-C dependent upon the final grades of either a Distinction, Merit or Pass.

The course consists of 18 units that focus on core IT and creative skills with the main focus on software development.

Entry requirements

Minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above including Maths and English Language. A grade B is preferred in Maths.


The programme is an advanced course and is assessed through assignment work; each unit has 2-4 assignments and learners will be expected to work outside of lecture time to complete assessed work and to further develop their skills.

Future opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you could progress into Higher Education such as a university degree or a higher apprenticeship in computing
