Course description

Retail is a vast, diverse industry with establishments ranging from corner shops to multi-national chains, but regardless of size,retailers need skilled and motivated staff. This qualification allows people working in retail to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to a national occupational level. At Level 2 you will need to demonstrate initiative in the handling of non-routine activities as well as the core principles of Customer Service.

The purpose of this qualification is to enable you to demonstrate through classroom based assessments, how well you carry out daily work activities and your knowledge of retail related topics.

Course content

The course covers: Customer Service in the Retail Sector The retail selling process How individual and teams contribute to the effectiveness of retail business How a retail business maintains health and safety on its premises.

Entry requirements

You will need Level 1 Literacy, Numeracy and ICT skills to undertake this course.


The course will conclude with a multi-choice exam
