Performing Arts (Dance) BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Monks' Dyke Tennyson College

Course description

This course is suitable for students who are interested in Dance and have a strong Dance background either in school (BTEC First Certificate/Diploma or GCSE dance) or at a dance studio. The course includes six units covering a range of dance styles and principles to equip you for further study in Dance. There are two core units - Performing to an Audience and Dance Appreciation. Other possible units include Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Choreography, Physical Theatre and World Dance.

Future opportunities

The BTEC National Award can contribute to Higher Education or Vocational Dance Courses.
