This is a practical course covering the use of application software and practical skills in using ICT.

You will also have classes in mathematics and English. You will have a personal tutor who will provide help with personal development and careers advice.

Entry requirements

All applicants will take a language and numeracy assessment and will be interviewed. You may also be given an IT test.

All units are coursework based.

Future opportunities

The Level 1 certificate can start to prepare you for a career which uses IT. You can progress on to a Level 2 course such as BTEC Level 2 Diploma in IT. You will also obtain additional qualifications in mathematics and in English.
