Further information

EARLY ENTRY:

Candidates in Sets 1-4 will sit their GCSE in November of Year 11. Set 1 will sit the Higher paper, and sets 2 to 4, the Foundation. Set 1 will then be given the opportunity to take GSCE Statistics and also the chance to re-sit the Higher paper in order to gain a better grade.

We would anticipate that all candidates in Set 2 would gain a Grade C on the Foundation paper in November and then spend the rest of Year 11 developing their knowledge and trying to achieve one of the higher grades.

Those candidates in Sets 3 and 4 who achieve a Grade C on the Foundation paper in November will then be given the opportunity to sit the Higher Paper in the summer.

Sets 5-8 will sit the Foundation paper in the Summer of Year 11.

Candidates studying for the Entry Level in Mathematics will also undertake a final examination.

Deadlines: These will be set during the course.
