Applied Science BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at The Elizabethan Academy

Course description

Course Content Overview of all three sciences. 100% coursework and students will be given at least three assignment tasks per week.

7 Units over 2 years, including:

Fundamentals of Science: Chemistry, Physics and Biology Science in the Workplace:

How science is used in the workplace Scientific Practical Techniques:

A practical unit covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics Physiology of Human Systems:

In depth study of some of the human body systems Microbiology:

Covers microbiology, aseptic techniques and microbes Genes and Genetics:

The study of genes in the human body Physiology of Human Regulation and Reproduction:

A further look in to the systems of the human body

Entry requirements

You will need at least 5 GCSEs at A* - C (including GCSE Mathematics and/or GCSE English Language). CC or above in GCSE Science OR MM/MMMM or above in BTEC Level 2 Applied Science Grade C or above in GCSE English Grade C or above in GCSE Maths
