ICT at St Saviour's and St Olave's Church of England School
The AS course has the following units - Information: Nature, Role and Context. Information: Management and Manipulation and The Use of Generic Application Software for Task Solution.
5+ A*-C at GCSE, preferably at least a B in ICT GCSE.
N/AYou could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Information and Communication Technology, which could lead onto higher education in areas of Information and Communication Technology or more general higher education courses as the course offers skills that are useful in lots of subjects. With further training you could go into a job directly related to Information and Communication Technology such as a Computer Programmer, ICT Technician or Website Developer. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge for entering today's workforce across many industries who depend on computers and technology more generally.
