Food Technology at Branston Community Academy

Course description

Food Technology aims to provide an opportunity for students to develop their own creativity, capability and entrepreneurial skills using Food as a design material. Students will apply their knowledge and understanding to a range of technological activities and to develop critical thinking and organisational skills. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with, disassemble, test and design food products. There will be opportunities to visit food manufacturers to gain insight into processes used in the food industry.

Entry requirements

A-C in GCSE Food Technology or an acceptable alternative. A grade C in Science is advantageous.
