Wood Occupations Apprenticeship at Macclesfield College
Apprenticeships are an excellent way for motivated people, aged 16 and over, to earn while they learn and progress in their careers.
Macclesfield College offer a wide range of Apprentice training programmes across various industry sectors. Apprentices are employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week and learn both on and off the job. At college you will study for nationally recognised work-related qualifications, such as NVQ/Diplomas (at Levels 2 and 3) which include Technical Certificates in some areas, and you will also develop competency in a range of Functional Skills.
Entry requirements will be discussed in detail at admissions interviews for all courses. Please note, the availability of all courses is dependent on the sufficient number of students. You are advised to also consider second choice subjects.
Your training will be funded and you will be paid at least the minimum Apprenticeship wage for the work you do.
The length of an Apprenticeship varies depending on the job you’re doing, your age and how much experience you have. After completing an Apprenticeship you can progress onto an Advanced Apprenticeship which can lead to further study such as a Foundation Degree or HND at Macclesfield College.
