Entry requirements

It is not a pre-requisite that you studied this subject at GCSE. As with all A Levels you require a minimum of 5 GCSE passes, or equivalent, at C and above.


Exams are a mix of data-response and essay questions.

Future opportunities

Most obviously a degree in Sociology.  However, many careers whilst not specifically requiring Sociology benefit from a person having it; for example social work, teaching, and legal work including being a lawyer.

Further information

As a Social Science subject Sociology combines well with most other A Levels and is an excellent choice to add breadth to your AS programme.
