Business BTEC Level 2 Certificate/Award at Luton Sixth Form College

Course description

Companies such as EE, Apple, Sky and Tesco are all very successful businesses and household names. This course investigates what makes a business successful and will develop your knowledge and understanding on how businesses are organised, structured, financed and operated. This course will look at some of the most important functions of making a good business i.e. How to provide outstanding customer service? How to plan finances? How to recruit the right people?

You will be encouraged to examine real business situations, making use of a range of information sources and personal research. This course is designed to introduce students to the world of business and prepare them for further studies and employment.

Course content

This course is divided into 8 units for the Certificate and 4 units for the Award.

You must have 2 GCSEs at grade D and 2 GCSEs at grade E, including English.

Future opportunities

Many business students progress to careers in finance, sales, administration and marketing. It is also excellent for a range of management roles in private or public sectors.
