L2 Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership at CMS Vocational Training Ltd

Course description

This practical, work-based course uses hands-on training to develop your skills and provide you with qualifications related to your job.

This course is ideal for employees in the health and fitness sector who want to be involved in activity based sessions such as outdoor activity clubs, swimming clubs, running clubs etc.

Entry requirements

Whilst you will need to be employed in the industry, there are no other entry requirements.but you need to be reasonably fit as this course involves physical exertion and individual participation.

Assessment

You will be assessed by:

  • Observation of your performance in the workplace supported by discussions and questioning
  • Multiple choice paper on exercise and fitness knowledge, industry and organisational awareness for the technical certificate and key skills
  • A portfolio of work-based evidence.

Financial information

The qualification is funded by the Learning and Skills Council (subject to certain criteria) so there is no cost to you.

Future opportunities

90% of CMS apprentices continue in full time employment once they have finished their apprenticeship.

For most apprentices, there is an opportunity to move onto a Level 3 qualification once they ahve finished their Level 2 apprenticeship.
