A2 DRAMA: UNIT THREE: PERFORMANCE ON A SET THEME
Students will devise a performance piece in response to a set theme and deliver two performances, the second from a published script. In each case candidates will either act or demonstrate a technical skill with a group of performers.
AS DRAMA: UNIT FOUR: TEXT IN CONTEXT
Two plays are studied from the perspective of an actor, designer and director.
Unit 1 is intended to enable all students to reach the same standard, so there is no need to have studied Drama at GCSE in order to start this Course.
A2 UNIT 3: TWO PERFORMANCES
Externally marked 60%
Plus One and a Half Hour written evaluation of the performance
A2 UNIT 4: 2 HOUR 30 MINUTE WRITTEN EXAMINATION
Externally marked 40%
Exam Board: WJEC
You could take this course with other advanced level courses, which could be related to the performing arts, to prepare for higher education in the arts or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to the performing arts such as working in the Film, Television or Theatre industries. You may also like to look at joining a theatre group to increase your drama and theatre experience. The course offers a distinct subject content which provides you with the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers from lots of industries are looking for.
