Children’s Care, Learning and Development Level 2 Diploma at Accrington and Rossendale College

Course description

This qualification is for learners interested in pursuing a career working within a nursery and children’s care setting.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade D and above (including English and Maths).


You will be assessed through practical observations, oral questions, written assignments and internal written papers.

Financial information

This course is free of charge for 16 – 18 year olds.

This course will cost a maximum of £480 for learners aged 19 years old or above. This fee may be reduced or void depending on the individual’s circumstances.

Future opportunities

If you possess GCSE Maths and English then you may apply to continue on the Level 3 Children’s Play, Learning &and Development (Early Years Educator) Course.

This qualification will help to start a career in childcare with the opportunity to work towards increasing your skills as a childcare practitioner.
