Entry requirements

GCSE Mathemacs Higher Grade 5

Assessment

AS Level (Year 12)
Two wri(en exams, each 1 hour 30 minutes duraon.
Paper 1: Pure Maths and Mechanics
Paper 2: Pure Maths and Stascs
Exams are equally weighted (80 marks each)

A Level (Year 13)
Three wri(en exams, each 2 hours duraon.
Paper 1: Pure Maths
Paper 2: Pure Maths and Mechanics
Paper 3: Pure Maths and Stascs
Exams are equally weighted (100 marks each)

A mix of queson styles will be in each paper, from short single-mark quesons to mul-step problems.

Future opportunities

A-Level Mathemacs is universally highly regarded by employers. It can lead to a very broad range of career opportunies e.g. compung, accountancy, engineering, science, medicine etc. and is o/en an essenal qualificaon.
