Games Art & Animation (Level 3 BTEC Diploma) at Barking and Dagenham College

Course description

This course is a natural progression from the BTEC Games Development & Design Level 2 course and an ideal option if you are keen to develop your skills in games design, 2D and 3D animation or motion graphics. You will be interested in preparing for a career in animation, games design, SFX or motion graphics. You will learn practical skills using a wide range of technical resources and using industry-standard software including: - Adobe Flash - Photoshop - Illustrator - Premiere, and - Autodesk Maya, a 3D package used in the games and animation industry. Units will be based around learning techniques linked with games design, animation, concept art, image manipulation and motion graphics. In the second year of your course you will have the opportunity to further develop your own style and skill set within a final major project.
