Human Biology at Andover College

Course description

Human Biology is the study of human life. Unlike Biology, your studies will focus on Anatomy and Physiology and how it works in order to ensure human survival. You will have access to well-equipped laboratories and ICT suites and the facilities at Sparsholt College. Teaching staff are educated to Masters Level in biologically- related subjects, and are regular contributors to scientific publications and societies. Successful applicants will have an interest in the living world, be committed to studying independently and willing to extend their knowledge of biological processes.

  • The body and its diseases
  • Humans – their origins and adaptations
  • Bodies and cells in and out of control
  • The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat
  • Entry requirements

    5 A* – C grades at GCSE including a grade C or above in Maths and Science and/or Biology.Interview Required: Yes
