Construction (Plumbing, Brickwork, Plastering, Flooring, Joinery, P&D) Access2 Apprenticeships at PM Training
Foundation courses are for young people aged 16-19 who are leaving school and are considering a more practical and hands on course. They are suitable for those who may benefit from smaller class sizes, more support, needed to develop their work experience and confidence and are perhaps looking at a range of career options. These courses include employability support, maths and English supoort and ICT if appropriate. These Access2 Courses are offered across a range of career areas including engineering, joinery, electrical, brickwork and construction. We also offer courses in business admin, accountancy, ICT, digital media and customer service.
Courses include hands on REAL work expeirence, workshop training, employability support, Maths and English. These courses are full time and operate Monday to Friday.
A clear desire and commitment to progress in the chosen career area are essential. A mini-assessment and interview is carrried out to determine suitability for the programme.
Assessment is carried out in a practical way and Maths/English are assessed by exam.
Support is given to all of our learners in the form of an attendance bonus. We also offer Free travel support, Free refreshments and breakfasts and other supoport to ensure there are no barriers to your learning.
Progression opportunities onto higher level courses, traineeships, apprenticeships and employment are there for all learners.
