Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care - Level 2 Certificate at Blackpool and The Fylde College

Course description

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills for all those who wish to work in a supervised role with adults over 16 years old in Health or Social Care settings in England. You will learn subjects such asĀ· 

Communication, Safeguarding, Person-centred approaches, Health and safety, Handling information, Role of the care Worker, Introduction to Duty of Care, Equality and Diversity and Personal Development

Course content

You will also study Maths and English alongside this qualification to improve those skills.

Future opportunities

You can progress to level 3 Health and Social Care, which can then lead to a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care. You could alternatively progress to employment as a healthcare assistant, support worker or carer in hospitals, residential care or a role working with young people.
