Media Studies at The Joseph Whitaker School

Course description

You will study key concepts such as media language, media representations and media production across different platforms (digital, broadcast and print media). You will also discover how media products are promoted across these different media platforms. You will carry out cross-media studies, such as broadcast or film fiction, documentary and hybrid forms, lifestyle, music, news or sport. 50% of the total marks are allocated to coursework and you will develop two linked production pieces in different media platforms based on a set production brief.

5 A*-C in GCSE subjects . Grade B in chosen subjects
