Hairdressing Level 2 Diploma at Knowsley Community College

Course description

This is a practical based course were you will gain experience in our college salons working with paying clients in an industrial learning environment. You will learn all aspects of cutting,colouring, styling techniques and product knowledge through on-going assessment of your skills using oral questions and written assignments. You will get an opportunity to participate in fundraising activities, trips, visits and competitions. Industrial training is available to all learners through reputable manufacturers which will enhance your studies and improve your employability.

  • Change Hair Colour

Entry requirements

Students must have a Level 1 Hairdressing qualification along with Level 1 English/Maths or 4 GCSE Grade D or above which must include English/Maths.

Financial information

A uniform and full hairdressing kit will be required in order to perform practical assessments. Some learners may be required to pay for or contribute towards the cost. Portfolio, dividers and wallets will also be required.

Future opportunities

You can progress onto our Level 3 Hairdressing or Level 2 Barbering courses or into employment as a Hair Stylist, Product Demonstrator or Sales Representative.
