BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care - Level 2/3 at Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College

Course description

The Level 2 BTEC First Certificate in Health and Social Care is designed to provide a broad introduction to working in the sector and offer opportunities for accessing further study, such as a Level 3 BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ.

Assessment

Health and Social Care is assessed in two different ways for your BTEC First Certificate. For most units, your teacher ill set assignments for you to complete. For Unit 1 you will be assessed by an exam set by BTEC. These units ensure students have a thorough knowledge of Health and Social Care settings and how healthcare professionals can ensure a service which is excellent. Students will also undertake work experience in a health and social care setting and we would expect they achieve a good report whilst at work. The BTEC First Diploma is equivalent to 4 A* to C GCSEs.

Entry requirements

5 A* - G including English and Mathematics.
