MATHS at The Weald School

Course description

Maths is exciting – there are new challenges at every corner! It involves logical thinking, problem-solving and convincing someone that your reasoning is correct. In lessons students work individually, collaborate as part of a team, use computer software and present solutions to the rest of the class on interactive boards.

Research shows that mathematics students earn more and have skills that underpin many different professions and subjects. For example, the statistical methods and the mechanics studied on the course support the sciences.

Please note that we also offer Further Maths. Further Maths builds on the knowledge learnt in AS/A2 Maths and also introduces some completely new concepts and topics which are interesting and challenging. This is a really good course if you are planning to read Maths at University.
