Course description

This apprenticeship is for anyone wanting to a career in the retail industry.

Course content

•Prepare newspapers and magazines for return to merchandisers

•Check the accuracy of records of hours worked by staff in a retail environment

•Enable customers to dispense motor fuel on a forecourt

Entry requirements

•You will need to be at least 16 years of age and must hold three GCSEs at grade A*-D, plus GCSE English Grade 3 or above.

•It is desirable that you have English and maths at grade C or above but this is not essential as functional skills is delivered as part of the apprenticeship programme

•You need to be employed within a retail setting or have an employer in this area willing to take you on as an apprentice

Assessment

You will be assessed by your assessor using a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments. You will be assessed both in College and in your place of work.
